HCMR and Ramon’s Dive Shop guides assist turtle in distress

On Friday, November 8th Hol Chan Marine Reserve (HCMR) was unable to save a distressed sea turtle found South of San Pedro Town by Ramon’s Village Resort Dive Shop tour guides, the turtle had air accumulated in its intestines. Said air was removed with the assistance of HCMR, and the turtle was released into the water.

Crocodile poaching incidents increase on Ambergris Caye

The poaching of crocodiles continues to increase on Ambergris Caye according to the American Crocodile Education Sanctuary (ACES). On Thursday, November 7th via their Facebook page, ACES shared that two island crocodiles have been targeted by poachers within 24 hours of each other.

Successful 2nd Annual Belize Birding Festival

The Cayo district welcomed over two-hundred participants at the 2nd Annual Belize Birding Festival 2019, this past weekend October 19th and 20th at the San Ignacio Resort Hotel.
