Firearms and Ammunition
*On Friday, March 6th, a joint Belize City Police and San Pedro Police operation was conducted at the residence of 51-year-old Peter Moses “Campos” Hernandez in the San Juan Area. Also present during the time of the search were 26-year-old Marciana Susana Campus 26 years, 23-year-old Teresita Jessely Cordova, 48-year-old Guadalupe Gonzalez, 42-year-old Victor Vasquez, 52-year-old John Arana, 30-year-old Michael “Zetaz” Edwards, 27-year-old Juan Gomez, 44-year-old Laura Trapp and 25-year-old Pedro Campus. Search led to the discovery of a .22 silver and wooden Taurus brand pistol bearing serial number AXL35514 fitted with a metal magazine which was loaded with eight .22 Fiocchi brand ammunition, along with a small box containing 15 .22 Fiocchi brand ammunition. They were all jointly charged for “Kept Firearm without a gun license” and “Kept Ammunition without a license”. All those charged are to be arraigned before the San Pedro Magistrate Court later this week before being remanded to the Belize Central Prison.10 Police Report Unlicensed Gun Ammunition

*On Friday, March 6th, a joint team of Belize City and San Pedro Police conducted a house search at the residence of 35-year-old Andrew Edwards and 28-year-old Cardenal Rosalez in the San Mateo Area. The search led to the discovery of two 9mm S&B brand Ammunition and 0.6 grams of suspected Cannabis. They were jointly charged for “Kept Ammunition without a license” and “Possession of Controlled Drugs”.

*On Saturday, March 7th, at about 1:30PM while joint Belize City and San Pedro Police were on Motorcycle patrol on Seagrape Street, they stopped and searched 35-year-old Rudy Rodriguez which led to the discovery of 4.0 grams of suspected Cannabis. He was formally arrested and charged for “Possession of Controlled Drugs”.

*On Sunday, March 8th at 2:12PM while Belize City and San Pedro Police was on motorcycle patrol within San Mateo Area, they stopped and searched 18-year-old Ruben Olivarez Jr. which led to the discovery of a black plastic bag containing suspected Cannabis, amounting to 6.3 grams. He was formally arrested for “Possession of Controlled Drugs”.

*On Sunday, March 8th at about 8AM, while Belize City and San Pedro Police were patrolling the Boca Del Rio Area, they stopped and search one 19-year-old Santiago Cucul, which led to the discovery of 1.6 grams of suspected Cannabis. He was formally arrested and charged for “Possession of Controlled Drugs”.

*On Monday, March 9th at 11:25PM, Belize City and San Pedro Police conducted a searched at the apartment room of 29-year-old Maitland Joel Ranguy in the San Pablo Area, which led to the discovery of a transparent plastic bag containing green leafy substance suspected to be Cannabis, amounting to 1.2 grams. He was formally arrested and charged for “Possession of Controlled Drugs”.

*On Monday, March 9th at 9AM, while Belize City and San Pedro Police was on mobile patrol in the San Pedrito Area, a search was conducted on a 17-year-old minor, which led to the discovery of five transparent bags containing green leafy substance suspected to be Cannabis, amounting to 3.5 grams of Cannabis. He was formally arrested and charged for “Possession of Controlled Drugs”.

Drug Trafficking

*On Saturday, March 7th at 2:35PM, Belize City and San Pedro Police conducted a house search, at the residence of 22-year-old Akeem Jones, and 28-year-old Andrea Eleaner Busch Muschamp, in the San Pedrito Area. The search led to the discovery of a large black in color plastic bag in wooden drawer which was opened in their presence and contain 183.3 grams of suspected Cannabis. They were jointly charged for “Drug Trafficking”.

*On Monday, March 9th at 9:05PM, acting on information, San Pedro Police stopped and searched on Angel Fish Street 19-year-old Dennis Salazar which led to the discovery of a black plastic bag inside the right side pocket containing green leafy vegetable substance suspected to be Cannabis, amounting to 115.7 grams. He was formally arrested and charged for “Drug Trafficking”.

*On Monday, March 9th at 9:10PM, acting on information, San Pedro Police conducted a house search at the residence of 30-year-old Alex Salazar in the DFC Area which led to the discovery of a black plastic containing four bags (three were blue and the other a transparent bag) containing green leafy substance suspected to be Cannabis (Hydro), amounting to 993.3 grams. He was formally arrested and charged for “Drug Trafficking”.

*On Tuesday, March 10th at 10:45AM, acting on information, San Pedro Police conducted a house search at the residence of 23-year-old Marlon Chanek and a 17-year-old Franklin Chanek. The search led to the discovery of two transparent Ziploc plastic bag and a black plastic bag wrapped up in transparent tape all containing suspected Cannabis, amounting to 2,800.5 grams. They were formally arrested and charged for “Drug Trafficking”.

Attempted Murder
In reference to the shooting of 13-year-old, Meredith Escalante on Wednesday, February 11th that occurred in San Pedrito Area, San Pedro Police have arrested and charged 21-year-old Deshawn Goff for the incident. He was charged with one count of “Attempted Murder”, one count of “Dangerous Harm” and one count of “Use of Deadly Means for Harm”. He has since been remanded to the Belize Central Prison.
