Police-NewsPossession of Controlled Drugs
* On Friday, July 17th at around 7PM, while San Pedro Police was conducting patrols in the Bayside Area, San Pedro Town they stopped and searched 38-year-old Germaine Caliz, which led to the discovery of 1.2 grams of suspected Cannabis and 0.3 grams of suspected Crack Cocaine. Subject was formally arrested and charged for two counts of Possession of Controlled Drugs.
* On Saturday, July 18th at 12:18PM, while San Pedro Police was conducting mobile patrols in the DFC, San Pedro Town they stopped and searched 28-year-old Corazon Cortez, which led to the discovery of 4.9 grams of suspected Cannabis. He was formally arrested and charged for Possession of Controlled Drugs.
* On Saturday, July 18th at around 08:20PM while San Pedro Police was conducting mobile patrol on Sea Grape Drive, San Pedro Town they stopped and searched 19-year-old Joshue Donald Arnold, which led to discovery of 2 grams of suspected Cannabis. He was formally arrested and charged for Possession of Controlled Drugs.
Burglary
*On Sunday, July 19th at around 9:30AM, three American students reported that between the hours of 1AM and 4:30AM, while staying at the Banana Beach Hotel apartment # 26 B, some items were stolen from out of their room. Items stolen were: one wallet containing a ID, along with $400USD, one white and gold Apple Brand Iphone 6 valued at $600USD, and a dark brown leather wallet containing an unknown amount of cash, one USA Debit card, one military ID card, one North Carolina Drivers License, one social security card and one black in color Samsung Galaxy S5 Active valued at $800USD. Total value of items stolen are $1800USD Matter remains under investigation. Anyone with information on these items is asked to immediately contact the police at 206-2022.
*On Thursday, July 16th about 10:30AM, 22-year-old Manuel De Jesus Romero reported that when he was about to open his barber shop located in Angel Coral Street, he noticed the door was opened. Upon entering, he noticed that his 32 inch flat screen Toshiba brand television valued at $1,300BZ was missing, along with six trimming machine clips valued at $70BZ, a total of $1,370BZ. Matter remains under investigation. Anyone with information on these items is asked to immediately contact the police at 206-2022.
Theft
*On Monday, July 20th at 12:08PM David Flores reported that on Saturday, July 18th at about 7PM while heading home on his bicycle he lost his wallet, which contained an assortment of IDs, somewhere on Angel Coral Street. As a result San Pedro Police carried out an investigation and found out that Flores’ Atlantic bank ATM card was used about four different times (Two were made on the 18/07/15 of the sums of $46.15BZ and $17.78BZ, one was made on the 19/07/15 at the sum of $40.72BZ and the last one was made on 20/07/15 at the sum 61.42BZ, which brings a total amount of $ 166.07BZ) at a supermarket located on Seagrape Drive, South San Pedro Town. The store was visited, and the surveillance camera was viewed, whereby police identified 38-year-old Larry Leslie. He was formally arrested and charged for “Theft”.
