Kept Prohibited Firearm
On Tuesday, July 18th, San Pedro police conducted a search at a house located in the San Mateo area. The search led to the discovery of a .45 caliber pistol, Colt brand, seven .45 live rounds and magazine under a mattress in the bedroom. Present at the time of the search was 42-year-old Maria Elena Paguada, 18-year-old Tony Montana McDonald, and two minors of San Mateo. All persons have since been detained pending charges.

Drug Trafficking
On Monday, July 17th, Belize City Police conducted a search on 29-year-old Corazon Artulio Cortez, construction worker of San Pedro Town. The search resulted in the discovery of 339.2 grams of cannabis. Police have since arrested and charged Cortez for the offence of “Drug Trafficking”.
