Brazil’s Ambassador to Belize presents credentials

Press Release – Government Press Office – July 3, 2013 – This morning, the Ambassador of Brazil to Belize, His Excellency Lucio Pires de Amorim, presented his credentials to the Governor General of Belize, His Excellency Sir Colville Young.
Ambassador Pires de Amorim spoke of the two countries’ lack of knowledge of each other, explaining the need to “bridge the gap” since the nations share similarities in their histories. For his part, the Governor
General extended a warm welcome to the Ambassador on behalf of the people of Belize; and expressed his gratitude to the Ambassador for his kind words of cooperation and friendship.
The Ambassador also presented his letter of credence to Minister of Foreign Affairs and Attorney General, Hon. Wilfred Elrington and Chief Executive Officer in the Ministry of Affairs, H.E. Alexis Rosado.
