Share

On March 3rd, San Pedranos elected a new town council under the People’s United Party, a historic switch that brought an end to the 18-year rule by the United Democratic Party.

The town board, led by Mayor Gualberto ‘Wally’ Nuñez, has been organizing themselves as they start working for a better San Pedro.

Following a recent meeting, for the first time in years, a female councillor, Dianeli Aranda, was given the post of Deputy Mayor, while the rest of councillors were assigned their respective portfolios.
For the next six months, Deputy Mayor Dianeli Aranda will work with Mayor Nuñez.

Together with the rest of the team, they look forward to turning things around and addressing the different projects such as infrastructure, waste management, tourism, and job opportunities, among other essential aspects affecting islanders.
