Interoffice Volleyball Tournament in its final leg

The San Pedro Volleyball Association 2013 Interoffice Volleyball Tournament is heading to the finals and the teams are fighting for their wins.
Female Interoffice Volleyball-4Games continued on Saturday, September 28th with the female teams fired up. The first game of the day was between the Lady Rebels and team Butterfingers. The Lady Rebels eagerness for a win paid off, as they defeated the Butterfingers in a 3-1 set game (set one: 25-18 favor of Lady Rebels, set two: 23-25 favor of Butterfingers, set three: 25-20 favor of Lady Rebels and set four: 25-21 favor of Lady Rebels). The second game of the night was between Tuff E Nuff and the San Pedro High School (SPHS) boys. Unfortunately SPHS boy’s outside hitter, Giomar Marin was injured in the first set of the game, but with will and determination SPHS pulled off a close win of 3-2 set game (set one: 23-25 favor of SPHS, set two: 20-24 favor of SPHS, set three: 25-25 favor of Tuff E Nuff, set four: 25-21 favor of Tuff E Nuff and set five:11-15 favor of SPHS).

The third game of the night was a blow out win for Sandtasiks who won a perfect 3-0 set game (set one: 25-7, set two: 25-5, and set three: 25-7). The final game of the night was between Tropic Air Pilots and Tuff E Nuff. Tropic Air came up short and lost to Tuff E Nuff in a 3-0 set game (set one: 25-15, set two: 25-23 and set three: 25-16)
On Sunday, September 29th game day continued with a match between the San Pedro High School; (SPHS) girls and team Butterfingers. It was a tough match indeed but SPHS girls managed a 3-2 set victory (set one: 25-13 favor of Butterfingers, set two: 26-24 favor of SPHS, set three: 25-19 favor of SPHS, set four 25-13 favor of Butterfingers, and set five 15-8 favor of SPHS). In the second game of the day, the Lions lost by default against Sandtasiks. For the final game, Captain Sharks managed to win in a 3-0 set game against Tropic Air Pilot (set one:25-9, set two:25-11 and set three: 25-10).
Female Interoffice Volleyball-5Currently the Lady Rebels are leading the female division with eight points, in second is Butterfingers also with eight points but with more sets lost, and in third place is the SPHS girls who have four points.
In the male division, Sandtasiks have elevated themselves to first place with 24 points, in a close second is Captain Sharks with 20 points, followed by Legends with 19 points, followed Tuff E Nuff, SPHS boys and Coco Beach all with 15 points, the Lions trail behind with 11 points and finally the Tropic Air Pilots with six points.
Congratulations to all teams on their good sportsmanship. Games will continue on Saturday October 5th at the Angel Nunez Auditorium. See you there!
