The Legends Over 35 Football Cup tournament has entered its second round. At the end of the first round of matches, Shark Shooters FC leads the standings with a total of ten points and is ready to defend its top position as the competition continues. The second round kicks off this Sunday, July 13th, at 6PM at the Ambergris Stadium.

Second Edition of the Fitness Island Tournament Puts San Pedro Athletes to the Test

From July 5th to 6th, a group of athletes gathered to participate in the second annual Fitness Island Tournament, organized by Miss San Pedro 2024-2025, Alexa Acosta. The event was held at the Angel Nuñez Auditorium at San Pedro High School, where male and female participants from various CrossFit gyms competed in the beginner and intermediate levels. Throughout the two-day event, athletes showcased their dedication and commitment to the fitness discipline. After the tournament, the top three athletes in each category were awarded.

San Pedro’s Sea Bulls FC and Sharks FC are among the 16 teams participating in the 2025 National Amateur Interdistrict Championship (NAIC). The first leg of the football tournament kicked off on Saturday, July 5th, with both island teams ending their opening matches in a draw.

The 2025 Mundialito Kids Football Tournament in San Pedro officially kicked off on Friday, June 27th, at the Ambergris Stadium, marking an exciting start to the youth football season on the island. Organized by the San Pedro Town Council Sports Committee and Councilor Adaly Guerrero Ayuso, the event brought together over 120 enthusiastic boys and girls aged 5 to 13, a significant increase from the previous year’s 70 participants.

The Legends Over 35 Football Cup tournament is back, delivering exciting matches every Friday at the Ambergris Stadium. Five veteran teams, G Strikers Veterans, Los Gaseros, Pepperoni’s Warriors, United FC, and Shark Shooters FC, are battling for the championship title. Last year, Shark Shooters claimed the top spot, and as this year’s competition heads into its third week, they are once again lead in the standings.

San Pedro Tiger Sharks Remain Undefeated in the BPBL

The island’s premier basketball team, the San Pedro Tiger Sharks, extended their winning streak after securing their fifth victory in the Belize Premier Basketball League (BPBL) on June 14th. In a tightly contested match, the Tiger Sharks edged out the Western Ballaz with a final score of 80-75.

Beach Volleyball Marathon celebrates Dads in San Pedro

As part of the Father’s Day celebrations on Sunday, June 15th, the San Pedro Volleyball Association hosted a beach volleyball marathon at the Boca del Rio Beach Park. The one-day tournament featured seven male two-person teams competing for the top three prizes in a spirited and competitive atmosphere. Matches began shortly after 8AM and continued throughout the day with scheduled breaks, culminating in an intense championship showdown around 3PM.

San Pedro Tiger Sharks Remain Undefeated in the BPBL

San Pedro’s premier basketball team, the Tiger Sharks, continues its undefeated run in the Belize Premier Basketball League (BPBL). On June 7th, the team traveled to Dangriga Town in southern Belize, where they edged out the EZ Investment Dangriga Dream Ballers 77-74. The following day, they defeated the Capital City Kings 89-77 in Belize City.
