Save the dates; 501 Fight Night I: Genesis coming to San Pedro in September
For the first time since the height of the pandemic, San Pedro Town, Ambergris Caye will be the venue for a spectacular Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fight night dubbed 501 Fight Night I: Genesis. The event will take place on the patriotic anniversary of the Battle of St. George’s Caye on September 10th at the Angel Nuñez Auditorium. Doors will open at 5PM for a night of adrenaline with eight different fights.

San Pedro fishing team Mad Spread wins the XII edition of the Copa Mahahual fishing tournament
A Belizean fishing team from San Pedro Town, Ambergris Caye named Mad Spread won the 12th edition of the annual Copa Mahahual fishing tournament. The tournament was held over the weekend from August 19-21, in Mahahual, Mexico. The San Pedro team headed by Captain Seth Eduard, Shadany Bradley, and Dylan Henkis won first place in the competition with a total of 1,405 points and a cash prize of 100,000 Mexican Pesos.

On Friday, August 19th, a team of Belizean athletes returned to the country after participating at the 19th Annual NAPF North American Regional Powerlifting Championship. The delegation of eight athletes brought home two gold and four bronze medals.
