Belize’s U-18 Football Team sub-champions of the UNCAF Tournament
The Belize Under (U) 18 Football Team return to the country on Monday, October 28th with Silver after becoming the sub-champions of the Union Centro Americana de Futbol (UNCAF) tournament held in Costa Rica. The U-18 Jaguars fell short against the host, Costa Rica, 0-4 during the championship match on Saturday, October 26th.

Kids and Youth Jujutsu Tournament held in San Pedro Town
For the first time, a fun and educational kids and youth Jujutsu Tournament was held in San Pedro Town on Saturday, October 12th. The Angel Nuñez Auditorium was the venue where island youngsters showcased their Jujutsu techniques and skills.

With the goal of participating in the 2024 Olympic Games to be held in Paris, France, island resident Ian ‘Lion’ Gordon continues to participate in several local and regional races. In his latest two races in Belize, he placed first in Placencia Village and second in Belmopan City.

San Pedro Pirates score their second victory of the season
For the 10th week of Premiere League of Belize (PLB) 2019 Opening Season, San Pedro Pirates traveled to Stann Creek District, Placencia Village, to go against Placencia Assassins on Sunday, October 6th. This 3-2 victory over Placencia Assassin, makes it the second win of the Pirates for the season.

Mahogany Bay Village donates to San Pedro Invaders Female Football team
As the new season of the National Amateur Women’s League (NAWL) Football Tournament approaches, the San Pedro Invaders team received a much-needed donation of $3,300 from Mahogany Bay Village Resort and Beach Club. The donation will help cover jerseys, football equipment, first-aid kits, and other items needed for the preparation of the girls.
