San Pedro youngsters, both male and female, continue to showcase their football skills at Belize’s U-15 and U-17 Inter-District Football Tournament. San Pedro teams hosted teams from Belmopan for a day of football action at the Ambergris Stadium in San Pedro Town on Saturday, July 20th.

First-ever Sports Fishing Summer Course certifies seven islanders
Coastal Zone Management Authority and Institute (CZMAI) in partnership with Hol Chan Marine Reserve (HCMR) and the San Pedro Tourist Guide Association (SPTGA) conducted the first-ever Sports Fishing Summer Course for island youths from Monday, July 15th to Monday, July 22nd.

Island Takeover MMA fight night coming to San Pedro Town
Thursday, July 25th has been set for a fantastic Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fight night in San Pedro Town, with nine matches featuring fighters from Belize, Mexico and the United States of America. The event, dubbed ‘Island Takeover,’ will include three Jiu-Jitsu and six MMA combats. The event is scheduled to start at 6PM at the Angel Nuñez Auditorium.

Two San Pedro young ladies drafted for Belize’s Female Senior National Team
The Football Federation of Belize (FFB) has drafted a selection of players for the Belize Female Senior National Football Team to represent the country at a triangular tournament in Turks & Caicos from the 25-28 August 2019. Among the selection of players are San Pedro’s very own Ada Cordova and Normalee Nunez. Participating teams in the triangular tournament.

Belizean boxer wins international competition on Ambergris Caye
The action-packed night saw boxers from Mexico, Honduras, Peru, and Belize. The main event of the evening had spectators more than happy after Belizean boxer Eduardo ‘Mecanico’ Esquivel from San Ignacio Town, Cayo emerged victorious against Reno Reyes from Peru after eight rounds of intense boxing.
