RESTORE Belize Launches Online Workshop on Trauma-Informed Care

RESTORE Belize offered an online capacity-building workshop from June 22 to July 9, 2021, titled ‘Trauma-informed care in a time of COVID-19: Promoting healing in Health, Human Services, and Community Organizations.’The workshop seeks to increase service providers’ knowledge, skills, and strategies to provide trauma-responsive and empathetic care and support to children, young people and families during the COVID-19 pandemic.

HIV Statistical Report 2017 shows that the virus is still an issue in Belize

Over 30,000 HIV tests were conducted across the country, with a total of 223 people testing positive. Of that number, 124 were males, and 99 were females.
