Belize Jaguars play against Nicaragua in World Cup qualifier

The Belize National Football Team, the Jaguars, played an away match in the World Cup Qualifiers against Nicaragua on Friday, June 4th. The game took place at 7PM in Managua, Nicaragua, and is the third match the Belizean team will play in a series to qualify for the World Cup event in Qatar next year. While the Jaguars demonstrated much skill on the field, they fell short leading to a 3-0 victory for the Nicaraguan Selection.

Belize National Football Team resumes training before World Cup qualifying game against Nicaragua

In less than a month, the national football team of Belize, the Jaguars, will be playing against Nicaragua as they continue their journey to the FIFA World Cup in Qatar in 2022. In preparation for the critical qualifier game, the ‘A’ team has been called to camp in Belmopan City to continue training before facing the Nicaraguan team.

The next FIFA World Cup will take place at the end of 2022 in the Arab country of Qatar. Although it is over a year from now, the pandemic is a concern for the host country. Qatar is seeking COVID-19 vaccinations for all team members participating in the anticipated event to guarantee a safe environment for the host country and those visiting.

Belize Jaguars crushes Turks and Caicos 5-0 in World Cup qualifier

After losing 2-0 to Haiti last week, on Tuesday, March 30th, the Belize National Football Team-the Jaguars did much better on their second World Cup qualifying game for the Qatar 2022 World Cup and proceeded to blow out Turks and Caicos 5-0. With this victory, the Jaguars have now locked in three points and will prepare for their qualifying games set for June against St. Lucia and Nicaragua.

Two San Pedro Pirates F.C players drafted to be part of Belize’s Male National Team

The Football Federation of Belize (FFB) has drafted a selection of players for the Belize National Football Team to represent the country at The Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) Nations League matches in September 2019. Among the selection of players are two players from San Pedro’s very own semi-pro team, San Pedro Pirates F.C. They are Jesse Smith and Asrel Sutherland.

Belize wins friendly football match against Grenada 4-2

Among the players selected to play for Belize National Team was San Pedro’s Jesse Smith. The match saw both teams showcasing skills but when the long whistle was blown, it was a 4-2 victory for the Jaguars.

Island players drafted for Belize National Team

The FFB has drafted a selection of players for the Belize National Football Team to represent the country in a friendly match against Grenada’s National Team on Thursday, March 22nd. Among the selection of players are three footballers from San Pedro Town; Yusef Guerra, Jesse Smith, and Asrel Sutherland.

Belize prepares to participate in Copa Centro Americana

The Belize National Football Team has been in training camp in preparation for their participation in the 2017 Copa Centro Americana football tournament.
