Caye International Bank, and Chairman Joel Nagel receive Best Offshore Bank and Lifetime Achievement Awards

Pan Finance Magazine named Caye International Bank (CIB) the Best Offshore Bank in CARICOM 2024, and its Chairman, Ambassador Joel M. Nagel, was recognized with a Lifetime Achievement Award. The recognition occurred on March 27th in London, England, where other institutions were also awarded for their excellent services.

On Wednesday, January 10, the San Pedro High School (SPHS) returned to normalcy after months of operating on a shift system because of much-needed maintenance in certain areas of their main building.

Living Word Church’s annual Christmas Toy Drive receives donation from Caye International Bank

Driven to continue helping island residents and children, San Pedro’s Caye International Bank’s (CIB) Chairman Joel Nagel presented the Living Word Church (LWC) with a check for $77,316 to assist with its annual toy drive. Every year, LWC holds a toy drive to provide families and children on the island with Christmas presents and groceries (food baskets) for the holiday season.

Repairs at SPHS continue; regular class schedule to return in January 2024

While the school year 2023 ends at the San Pedro High School (SPHS), much-needed repairs continue in parts of its main building. Over the past months, emergency repairs have occurred in its staff room, conference room, computer laboratory, and sports room. On Wednesday, December 20th, the school management shared that work has been completed in its Information Technology (IT) laboratory and sports room, while work continues in the other sections mentioned. According to SPHS management, if the reconstruction works continue uninterrupted, class schedules at the school are expected to return to normalcy when classes resume on January 8, 2024.

Miss San Pedro hosts event to raise funds for SPHS

As the much-needed repairs continue at the San Pedro High School (SPHS), more financial assistance is needed to bring the only secondary school on the island back to normalcy. The community’s response has been positive, trying to help in any way they can, and one of those residents advocating and raising funds is Miss San Pedro 2023-2024 Mariel Calderon. The island’s beauty ambassador hosted a wine-tasting event in collaboration with The Fine Taste, raising $2,500 and benefiting the SPHS.

Caye Bank and island community contribute to SPHS telethon, raising over $200K toward needed repairs

The San Pedro community and other generous donors came together on Friday, October 27th, to support a fundraiser for the reconstruction of parts of the main building of the San Pedro High School (SPHS). The school administration stated they need $350,000 to complete all necessary repairs in their main building. A telethon held throughout Friday saw donations toward this worthy cause from individuals and stakeholders. One of those stakeholders was Caye International Bank (CIB), who not only made a monetary donation but has created a GoFundMe page to raise funds on behalf of SPHS at https://gofund.me/bbc1c852. At the end of the day, a total of $210,346 was raised in the telethon, a satisfactory amount that will aid in the ongoing works at the school.
