San Pedro Pirates draws 0-0 against Progresso FC
The San Pedro Pirates Football Club (FC) returned to the island without a win after a goalless match against Progresso FC on Saturday, August 31st, at the People’s Stadium in Orange Walk Town. The game, part of Week 5 of the Premier League of Belize (PLB), saw the island's premier football team remain in fourth place in the semi-pro national championship.

Belize nabs its first three points in the CONCACAF Nations League after defeating French Guiana
The national football team, the Jaguars, are returning home with three points on the ongoing Nations League under the Confederation of North, Central America, and Caribbean Association Football, known as CONCACAF, after defeating French Guiana 2-0 on Tuesday, September 12th, in that country’s capital city of Cayenne. The Jaguars had previously been on the island of Martinique, where they fell short against St. Vincent and the Grenadines 2-1. The top teams will participate in the upcoming Gold Cup in the United States of America.

Belize’s National Team, Jaguars draws 3-3 preparatory match held in San Pedro
On Tuesday, March 21st, a friendly football match between the national football team, the Jaguars, and a combined squad of San Pedro Pirates and Verdes players ended in a 3-3 draw. The game was in preparation for the upcoming match this Friday, March 24th, between the Jaguars and the national team from Guatemala.

Two San Pedro Pirates F.C players drafted to be part of Belize’s Male National Team
The Football Federation of Belize (FFB) has drafted a selection of players for the Belize National Football Team to represent the country at The Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) Nations League matches in September 2019. Among the selection of players are two players from San Pedro’s very own semi-pro team, San Pedro Pirates F.C. They are Jesse Smith and Asrel Sutherland.
