Belize nabs its first three points in the CONCACAF Nations League after defeating French Guiana

The national football team, the Jaguars, are returning home with three points on the ongoing Nations League under the Confederation of North, Central America, and Caribbean Association Football, known as CONCACAF, after defeating French Guiana 2-0 on Tuesday, September 12th, in that country’s capital city of Cayenne. The Jaguars had previously been on the island of Martinique, where they fell short against St. Vincent and the Grenadines 2-1. The top teams will participate in the upcoming Gold Cup in the United States of America.

The San Pedro Pirates had one of their toughest matches on Saturday, April 1st, against Altitude FC. The football game ended in a tight 2-2 draw and marked the 11th week of the Closing Season of the Premier League of Belize (PLB).

San Pedro Pirates tops PLB standing after 6-0 victory over Belmopan Bandits

After their third consecutive victory on Saturday, January 28th, the San Pedro Pirates are leading the Premier League of Belize (PLB) Closing Season with nine points. The island men travelled to the Capital City of Belmopan, where they crushed Team Belmopan Bandits 6-0 at the Isidoro Beaton Stadium.

Belize national football team suffers second consecutive defeat in the CONCACAF Nations League

In the senior national football selection of Belize, the Jaguars fell short against Guatemala on Sunday, June 5th, during their second game in the Confederation of North, Central America, and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) Nations League. Despite Belize’s defense and challenging weather conditions, the Guatemalan team secured a 2-0 victory over the Jaguars at the Doroteo Guamuch Flores Stadium in Guatemala City, Guatemala.

Belize’s Senior Female Football National Team falls 6-0 against El Salvador 

The senior female national football team lost 6-0 against El Salvador on Wednesday, February 16th, in their first match of the Women's World Cup Qualifiers. The game took place in San Salvador, El Salvador, where Team Belize will remain until Sunday, February 20th, when they play their second game against Panama. 

San Pedro female footballers traveling with the U-20 National team to Curacao

After training for months at the Football Federation of Belize (FFB) in Belmopan City, island football players Dennisa Pineda and Tanya Teul will travel with the U-20 Female National Football Team on Friday, September 10th, to represent the country in Curacao. Pineda is playing as goalkeeper and Teul as a midfielder. The Belizean team will compete at the CONCACAF U-20 women’s qualifier. This tournament is the start of a journey to see the top teams participating at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica at the end of 2022.
