Give A Gift hosts first Easter egg hunt and movie night
On Sunday, April 13th, the "Give A Gift" initiative, in collaboration with San Pedro Town Councilor Dianeli Aranda, hosted its first Easter Egg Hunt and Movie Night at the Honorable Louis Sylvestre Sporting Complex (Saca Chispas Field). This event, designed for children aged three to ten, began at 5PM and successfully brought families together for a day filled with fun, excitement, and entertainment.

Senior Citizens benefit from Digital Skills Training
On October 13th and 14th, an important initiative aimed at helping senior citizens navigate smartphone communication occurred. The first session was held on Sunday from 1PM to 3PM in Ambergris Caye, followed by a Monday session from 10AM to 12PM in Caye Caulker. These educational training sessions focused on enhancing digital skills, boosting confidence, and improving overall communication among seniors.

San Pedro Town Council offering summer jobs to high school students
As summer approaches, students enter their holiday season. This year, San Pedro Town Council (SPTC) is offering exciting jobs that provide seasonal employment for students on vacation from school. The purpose is to help students finance their schooling and registration fees and keep them engaged and busy during summer break. The program, led by Mayor Wally Nuñez and Councilor Dianeli Aranda in partnership with the Women's, Youths, and Children's Affairs Department in Ambergris Caye, promises a rewarding experience and valuable financial support.

SPTC hosts Family Fun Day 2024
On Sunday, May 19th, the San Pedro Town Council (SPTC) held a community family fun day at Boca Del Rio Park. The event started shortly after 11PM and ended at 4PM. Several island families attended, and the day was filled with fun activities, performances, music, games, and prizes.

Councilor Dianeli Aranda’s Foodbank Program Continues
The San Pedro Town Council Foodbank Program was initiated in November 2021 and spearheaded by Councilor Dianeli Aranda, who holds the portfolio of Women, Youth, and Children. The program continues to provide essential foot pantry items to families in need. With the new year, Aranda shared that applications are accepted at her office for those needing assistance. This program focuses on assisting deserving parents, elders, and families whose breadwinners are unemployed or going through hard times.

Ten extraordinary women recognized at San Pedro’s Women in Business Expo
On Saturday, March 11th, the San Pedro Town Council, in partnership with Hope Haven, recognized ten island women with the Champions of Change Award. The recognition highlighted the awardees’ achievements and their role in the community. The notable occasion occurred at the Honourable Louis Sylvestre Sporting Complex during the Women in Business Expo.

Free Back to School free haircuts for San Pedro students
The new school year has started. Students preparing to return to classes must not only get their uniforms and supplies ready, but they must also look good. A haircut is one way to look fresh, and to make sure as many kids on the island received one, Councilor Dianeli Aranda at the San Pedro Town Council (SPTC) partnered on Saturday, September 3rd with JJG Barber Shop and Beauty Salon from Orange Walk Town providing free haircuts to more than 50 students. The campaign continued the following day at various barber shops across San Pedro Town.

Councilor’s Aranda foodbank program continues; find out how you can apply
The San Pedro Town Council Foodbank Program initiated in November 2021 assists deserving single parents, the elderly, and families where the breadwinner remains unemployed. The assistance organized by Councilor Dianeli Aranda is available only to San Pedro residents.
