Belize and Taiwan Strengthen Ties on Disaster Preparedness and Development Cooperation
Belize and Taiwan continue to deepen their longstanding partnership, with recent high-level meetings focused on disaster preparedness, public service modernization, and national development priorities. On April 7th and 8th, Belizean officials met with newly appointed Taiwanese Ambassador Amino C.Y. Chi in Belmopan to explore expanded bilateral cooperation.

Ministers Meet with the Green Climate Fund
Hon. Michel Chebat, Minister of Public Utilities, Energy and Logistics; Dr. Hon. Louis Zabaneh, Minister of Constitution and Religious Affairs, Indigenous Affairs and Transportation; and Dr. Hon. Osmond Martinez, Minister of State in the Ministry of Economic Transformation, held a bilateral meeting with Mr. Henry Gonzalez, Chief Investment Officer of the Green Climate Fund (GCF), and Ms. Kristin Lang, the GCF Regional Director for Latin America and the Caribbean, along with other representatives of the GCF, in Seoul, Republic of Korea, on November 3, 2025.

Belize Participates in the Brazil-Caribbean Summit
The Ministry of Economic Transformation represented the Government of Belize at the Brazil-Caribbean Summit held in Brasilia, Brazil. The high-level meeting brought together heads of government and senior officials from the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) and Brazil to strengthen regional cooperation across critical areas, including food and nutrition security, climate change, energy transition, disaster risk management, and connectivity.
