Belize and Taiwan Host Award Ceremony for โWomen Who Bossโ Competition
On May 8, 2023, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Immigration and the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) held an award ceremony for the winners of the MSME Women Economic Empowerment Competition: WOMEN WHO BOSS. The competition was held under the โEnhancing the Economic Empowerment of Women in Latin America and the Caribbean in the COVID-19 Post-Pandemic Era: Technical Assistance for Women Employment, Entrepreneurship, and Financial Inclusionโ project.

Belize and Taiwan Strengthen Partnership through Urban Resilience and Disaster Prevention
On December 1, 2022, the Government of Belize through the Ministry of Sustainable Development, Climate Change and Disaster Risk Management, in collaboration with the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan), held the closing ceremony for the Belize Urban Resilience and Disaster Prevention (BURDP) and launched the inception of a US$1.6 million project entitled Flood Warning Capacity Improvement for the Belize River Basin.

Laptops contributed to the Mandarin program in San Pedro; students sit Mandarin test
Members of the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) in Belize donated six laptops to the San Pedro Town Council for the Mandarin program. On Friday, August 12th, a ceremony was held in San Pedro Town with Dr. Cindy Hsueh, Executive Officer of Feng Chia University from Taiwan, Mayor Gualberto โWallyโ Nuรฑez, and Councilor Marina Kay. The event also saw the participation of a group of students who, in 2021, completed a six-month Mandarin course.

Mandarin Workshop to be held in San Pedro
A Mandarin workshop is planned for Friday, August 12th, in San Pedro Town. The event, aimed at those students who completed the past mandarin program, was announced by the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) in Belize, stating that it was organized by the efforts of Councilor Marina Kay of the San Pedro Town Council (SPTC) and the Executive Officer of the Taiwanese institution Feng Chia University, Dr. Cindy Hsueh. The announcement also indicated that to enhance teaching and learning for students on the island, laptops will be handed over to the SPTC.

On February 17, 2022, Hon. Francis Fonseca, Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Technology (MoECST), received a generous donation of 5,000 medical face masks from H.E. David Kuan-Chou Chien, Ambassador of the Republic of China (Taiwan) to Belize.

The Ministry of Health & Wellness received an additional financial donation of US$460,000 from the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) during a ceremony held on December 18, 2021.
