Belize Signs Pivotal Agreements with the Republic of Korea
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade engaged in the signing ceremony of two pivotal agreements with the Government of the Republic of Korea: the Framework Agreement for Grant-Aid and the Agreement Concerning Loans from the Korean Economic Development Cooperation Fund (EDCF). These agreements were signed by H.E. Amalia Mai, Chief Executive Officer in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade on behalf of the Government of Belize, and H.E. Won Hoon Cho, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Belize.

MFAFT Welcomes US Visit on Partnership for Atlantic Cooperation
H.E. Amalia Mai, Chief Executive Officer in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, welcomed Ambassador Jessye Lapenn, Senior Coordinator for the Partnership for Atlantic Cooperation (PAC), during a notable visit to Belize organised by the Embassy of the United States. Ambassador Lapenn delved into discussions concerning the commitments delineated in the PAC Declaration, to which Belize became a signatory on January 30.

The Government of Belize and the United Nations held the Third Joint National Steering Committee Meeting for the United Nations Multi-Country Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNMSDCF) 2022-2026, co-chaired by H.E. Amalia Mai, CEO of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, and Mr. Raul Salazar, United Nations Resident Coordinator for Belize.
