MMA Fight Night III: Trinity to take place on San Pedro beach this weekend

The third edition of the Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) event, 501 Fight Night III: Trinity, is set for Saturday, July 22nd , on the beach in front of La San Pedrana Bar and Grill at the Holiday Hotel. The downtown venue hosted the organizers and fighters on Thursday, July 20th, for a press conference introducing the fighters and sharing information about the event.

Team ‘Not Sure’ takes first Wahoo Challenge held at Holiday Hotel/La San Pedrana Bar and Grill

Over the weekend, Saturday, and Sunday (January 28-29), the beach in front of Holiday Hotel and La San Pedrana Bar and Grill was the setting for their first fishing tournament-the Wahoo Challenge. A total of 14 teams registered for the two-day fishing tournament. Several large Wahoos were brought to the weighing station on the beach, but at the end of the competition, it was Team Not Sure who took the grand prize of $10,000 for topping the tournament with the biggest catch.

SPJC hosts 5k Run for Education

To raise funds to purchase school supplies and teaching aids for teachers, San Pedro Junior College (SPJC) hosted a 5k Run for Education on Saturday, October 26th. The race saw the participation of 29 runners raising awareness of the importance of teachers and extending appreciation for them throughout the island.

Holiday Hotel’s annual Halloween Celebration brings another epic bash

The biggest annual Halloween celebration in Belize was once again celebrated at the Holiday Hotel in San Pedro Town. Held on Saturday, October 26th, the anticipated party featured islanders dressed in a variety of spectacular and elaborately creative costumes. As every year, attendees competed for fabulous prizes with their craziest, creepiest, elegant, spectacular and most creative outfits.

Annual Masquerade Ball Fundraiser hosted at Holiday Hotel

Proceeds from this event will benefit Hope Haven Children’s Shelter & SHINE Community Center and American Crocodile Education Sanctuary. Organizers would also like to thank everyone who attended and made the Masquerade Ball a success!

The tournament saw the participation of ten male teams from across the country, including Corozal Town, Belize City, San Pedro Town, Caye Caulker and Orange Walk Town.
