Holy Cross Honors Primary and Preschool Class of 2026
Holy Cross Anglican School celebrated the graduation of its Class of 2026 during two ceremonies held on June 18th and 22nd at Holy Cross Church. The events honored both the primary and preschool graduating classes with music, prayer, speeches, and the presentation of certificates. A total of 39 primary school students and 33 preschool students graduated.

Former Professional Footballer Lauren Sesselmann Conducts Football Camp in San Pedro
Many young island footballers participated in a camp led by former professional football player and Olympic bronze medallist Lauren Sesselmann. Along with a team of colleagues, she coached several young players, sharing her knowledge of the sport and teaching techniques to improve their football skills.

We want to thank the Town Council for the award they recently presented to us, honoring our 20-year history with Holy Cross Anglican School. We are pleased to accept this award on behalf of the thousands of volunteers who built and furnished the school and continue to support many school-related activities, including the feeding program, the dental clinic, after-school activities, and more.

Holy Cross Anglican School Continues Community Education Through ESL Initiative
Holy Cross Anglican School in the San Mateo subdivision continues to expand educational opportunities on Ambergris Caye through various community programs, including English as a Second Language (ESL) classes for adults. Dr. Aileen Hale, a former Fulbright Specialist with the University of Belize, initiated the program after recognizing a need for adult English classes on the island.

Primary schools showcase talent at Festival of Arts in San Pedro
On Tuesday morning, May 19th, San Pedro Town hosted the Primary School Festival of Arts at Sagebrush Church. The program featured music, dance, and drama. The event began at 10AM, with Teacher Andrea Nuñez serving as mistress of ceremonies and Deputy Mayor Adaly Ayuso delivering opening remarks.

Rotary Club of Ambergris Caye Marks 10 Years of Community Service
The Rotary Club of Ambergris Caye celebrated its 10th anniversary with a large Cinco de Mayo fundraiser, marking a decade of community service since its official chartering on May 25, 2016, as Belize’s tenth Rotary club. The event brought together members, sponsors, partners, and residents to celebrate the organization’s impact across San Pedro and Ambergris Caye over the past decade.

Rotary Club Introduces Educator of the Year Award for San Pedro
The Rotary Club of Ambergris Caye has introduced its first-ever Educator of the Year Award for San Pedro Town, with the winner to be announced during International Teacher Appreciation Week in the first week of May. The award aims to recognize teachers who shape the island’s next generation and often go unnoticed, despite the time, effort, and personal resources they invest in their students.

Holy Cross Anglican School Offering its 3rd SPICE Culinary Program Starting May 5
After two successful culinary classes and 17 graduates, Holy Cross Anglican School is excited to announce that it will be starting the third SPICE (San Pedro Institute of Culinary Education) course on May 5, 2026 with 30 classes one night per week through December, culminating in a celebratory graduation dinner.
