Nigel Belisle Reappointed President of National PUP Marshals Executive

For the third consecutive term, San Pedro’s Nigel Belisle has been sworn in as President of the National People’s United Party (PUP) Marshals Executive. The official ceremony took place on January 10th in Belize City, where Belisle was joined by fellow executive members Carol Francis, Vice President; Delvorine Bennet, Treasurer; and Josue Perez, Secretary.

2024 Public Service Day and Award Ceremony celebrated in San Pedro

Hosted in Ambergris Caye, the prestigious 2024 Public Service Day and Award Ceremony was a significant event that paid tribute to the dedicated public officers of Belize. The Grand Caribe West Room was the setting for this grand occasion on Friday, June 21st, which marked the culmination of a week-long series of activities in honor of Public Service Day. The Ministry of Public Service, Constitutional & Political Reform, and Religious Affairs took the opportunity to honor 108 public officers who have selflessly served the Government of Belize for 25 years.

George Price Day observed in Belize; exhibit in his honor launched in Orange Walk

On Monday, January 15th, Belize observed George Price Day, honoring the life of the nation’s first Prime Minister. On this day, the Father of Belizean Independence would have turned 105 years old, and ceremonies were held in Orange Walk Town to celebrate the public and bank holiday. The special event included launching the “Let Belize Live: Speeches of the Premier Exhibit” at the Banquitas House of Culture.
