The two-day event of prayer, reflection and community building is being hosted by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama'at in Belize City.

Government postpones vaccine mandate of essential and public officers

The vaccine mandate against COVID-19 for essential and public officers was to come into effect on December 15, 2021, has been postponed. The decision was made on Wednesday, December 8th, following a meeting that included Minister of the Public Service, Constitutional and Political Reform, Honourable Henry Charles Usher, Minister of Health Wellness, Honourable Michel Chebat, Public Service Union (PSU) president Dean Flowers, Chief Executive Officer of the Ministry of the Public Service, Constitutional and Political Reform, Rolando Zetina, and the members of the PSU’s Executive Team.

GOB mandates essential workers and public officers to be vaccinated against COVID-19

As the country continues to traverse the bumpy COVID-19 road, the Government of Belize (GOB) has introduced another measure to combat the virus and protect the Belizean people.  On October 15th, a memo was issued from the Ministry of Public Service, Constitutional and Political Reform titled 'Mandatory Vaccination.' The notice stated that all essential workers and public officers must be vaccinated by December 15, 2021.

Ministry of the Public Service, Constitutional and Political Reform Implements Good Governance, Transparency and Ethics Course

On April 20, 2021, the Ministry of the Public Service, Constitutional and Political Reform (MPSCPR) in collaboration with Galen University, launched the Good Governance, Transparency and Ethics Training of Trainers course. Forty public officers from different ministries will be trained as trainers to implement the anti-corruption curriculum to public officers within the wider public service.
