San Pedro Pirates advances to PLB’s semifinals

In a tense match at the Ambergris Stadium on Saturday, March 29th, the San Pedro Pirates earned a place in the Premier League of Belize (PLB) playoffs by drawing 0-0 with Port Layola. San Pedro had two options to advance in the tournament: they could either win or draw the game. The team from the island fought hard under significant pressure to remain in the competition.

PLB Opening Season starts; San Pedro Pirates not participating

The 2023 Opening Season of the Premier League of Belize (PLB) kicked off over the weekend, hosting games nationwide. The teams participating in the new football season include PLB’s Closing Season champions Verdes, Altitude, Progresso FC, Police United, Benque United, Port Layola, Wagiya SC, and Bandits. Unfortunately for island football fans, the San Pedro Pirates Football Club will be absent this season.

San Pedro Pirates to face Verdes in PBL Finals

After crushing Port Layola 4-0 in the second match of the Premier League of Belize (PLB) semi-finals, San Pedro Pirates Football Cub has secured their spot in the tournament’s finals for an opportunity to win their second championship. The island boys will face one of the strongest teams in the league, Verdes Football Club. The matches to determine the PBL Champions will occur on Wednesday, May 24th, at the Ambergris Stadium and on Sunday, May 28th, in San Ignacio, Cayo.
