Caye Caulker businessman robbed of his licensed firearm in Belize City
A trip to Belize City did not end well for Caye Caulker businessman 59-year-old Mauro Benito Bevans. While walking towards the center of the city, he was held up by a pair of thieves who took his licensed black and silver Ruger .9mm pistol, which he had tucked in the waist of his pants.

Although police have been diligently monitoring illegal activities several miles north of San Pedro Town, a handful of tourists feel prey to armed thieves yesterday and were robbed of personal belongings at gunpoint.

Five police officers from the Caye Caulker Police Formation and two island residents were awarded on Friday, August 31st for their quick response to a robbery in process at the Bridge Marina gas station in Caye Caulker Village.
