Two Plead Not Guilty in $160,000 Alfaro’s Robbery Case

Christian Ramos and Trevor Lopez were indicted on a single count of robbery at the High Court in Belize City on July 29th in connection with the 2025 daylight robbery at Alfaro's Construction and Design Company in San Pedro Town, Ambergris Caye. Ramos and Lopez, who reportedly remain out on bail, pleaded not guilty to the charge and are scheduled to return to court on October 2, 2026, for a case management conference.

No arrests made yet in connection with San Pedro’s double murder

It has been over a month since the murders of Lebanese island resident Yahya Muhammad Harmoush, locally known as David Harmouch, and security guard Daniel Jones, and police have yet to make an arrest in the case. Both Harmouch and Jones were gunned down on June 28th at their workplace, Island Supermarket, north of San Pedro Town, Ambergris Caye. Police indicated that the investigation is ongoing as they continue to follow leads in an effort to apprehend those responsible for the crime that shocked the island community.

Motorcyclist Injured in Traffic Collision

A traffic collision in the San Marcos area of San Pedro on Monday, July 13, left a delivery driver with a serious leg injury. Police responded to the accident at approximately 7:13PM and found 21-year-old motorcyclist Joey Everett receiving treatment from the Rickilee Response and Rescue (RRR) emergency team. The taxi driver involved in the collision remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.

Residents Hold Peaceful Justice March for David Harmouch and Daniel Jones

One week after the fatal shooting of island residents David Harmouch and Daniel Jones, dozens of San Pedro residents gathered on Sunday, July 5th, to peacefully march through the streets of downtown San Pedro, calling for justice and urging authorities to bring those responsible to justice.

Several Persons in Custody Following Double Homicide at Island Supermarket

Police in San Pedro Town, Ambergris Caye, are actively investigating the double homicide that claimed the lives of security guard Daniel Jones and Lebanese businessman Yahya Mohamed Harmouch, locally known as David Harmouch, on Sunday night, June 28th. Following the fatal shooting at Island Supermarket, located north of San Pedro Town, police have detained several persons of interest. The business had recently reopened after being targeted in a burglary and arson incident in December 2025.

Police Await DPP Guidance in Fatal San Pedro Motorcycle Accident

San Pedro police are awaiting guidance from the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) as they continue investigating the fatal motorcycle accident that claimed one life and injured another on June 11th in downtown San Pedro. Police identified the deceased as 33-year-old Gilberto Ismael Noble, who sustained severe head injuries in the collision. The second victim, 23-year-old Vincent Donaji Canul, suffered a fracture to his right foot. According to police, Canul was operating the motorcycle at the time of the accident.

Police Investigating Fatal Motorcycle Accident in San Pedro

A motorcycle accident shortly after 10:30PM on Thursday, June 11th, left one man dead and another injured in downtown San Pedro. Police identified the deceased as 33-year-old Gilberto Ismael Noble, who suffered severe head injuries. The second individual, 23-year-old Vincent Donaji Canul, sustained a fracture to his right foot. According to a police report, Canul was driving the motorcycle when it collided with a golf cart, causing both riders to fall. Police have since issued Notices of Intended Prosecution to both Canul and the driver of the golf cart as investigations continue.

Police Investigate Armed Robbery at San Pedrito Shop

Police are investigating an armed robbery at a grocery store that occurred on Monday, June 1st, in the San Pedrito subdivision. The culprit reportedly fled the store after threatening the shop owner with a firearm and making off with several items and an undisclosed amount of cash.
