Marcial Westby continues to recover after stabbing incident; how you can help
The island community is joining forces to help fellow islander Marcial Westby with medical expenses after he was attacked on Saturday, November 19th, as he reportedly was heading home. Westby was stabbed and had to be airlifted to Belize City, where he remains in intensive care. Reports of Aggravated Burglary/Aggravated Assault and a stabbing in San Pedro
Police are investigating an incident on Monday, June 27th, at the home of business owner 52-year-old Elsa Odina Poot in the San Mateo subdivision north of San Pedro Town. The situation has been described by police as '\Aggravated Burglary/Aggravated Assault, as Poot's son-in-law Justin Campos and another person broke the house's front door and pointed a firearm at her.

Beach brawl involving a group of teenagers’ shocks islanders; no reports made to police
A video showing a group of young men involved in a brawl at the Boca del Rio beach park has gone viral. According to reports, one person was stabbed during the confrontation and transported to the Dr. Otto Rodriguez San Pedro Polyclinic II, where he was later released. Police are looking into this incident; however, they indicated that no reports had been made by those attacked and hurt.

Stabbing in DFC leaves one person injured; police detain two personsÂ
Initially reported as a shooting, police have confirmed that just after 4PM, on Wednesday, September 22nd, 26-year-old Jean Villatoro was stabbed in his left hand, after being attacked by two men. Villatoro was transported to the Dr. Otto Rodriguez San Pedro Polyclinic II, where he was treated and released.
