Starting November of 2016, visitors traveling to Belize from the United Kingdom (UK), will no longer need to overnight in the United States of America (USA) or Mexico. That is because, for the first time ever, American Airlines will be introducing a flight between London’s Heathrow Airport and Belize’s Philip Goldson International with just mere hours of connection delay in Miami, Florida USA.
The launching of the new flight will be on November 4th when the first flight takes off from London, England. Outbound flights will operate four days a week, on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. While inbound flights will be daily. These flights will operate all year round.
This new route will add to the other Belize bound flights American Airlines daily operates. Currently, the airline flies to Belize from Miami, Dallas, Charlotte and recently from Los Angeles, California.
In 2015, 12,650 British residents visited Belize which is a small number compared to visitors from other parts in the American Continent. It is expected that with this new flight, Belize will become more accessible for visitors from the UK and other parts of Europe.
