On Wednesday, May 9th the San Pedro Tour Operators Association (SPTOA) hosted a general meeting at the Sunbreeze Hotel conference room. Various issues pertaining to the association were discussed, and engaging with the tour operators was Belize Tourism Board’s (BTB) Director of Cruise and Destination Planning, Noriko Gamero.

A visitor who traveled to Belize during the third week of March 2018 had Whooping Cough (Pertussis), the CDC has confirmed to the Belize Ministry of Health. An investigative team has been created to inform and follow-up with those the infected person may have interacted with.
