President of the SP AIDS Commission Felix Ayuso is thrilled with the response from the community during their outreach and services. “I am very happy with the hard work and determination of our members. That we are seeing the fruits of our labor as HIV is no longer a taboo subject. People are receptive about getting factual information and are more open minded and willing to participate in the events promoting awareness.” He also indicated that the majority of funds were raised through yearly fundraisers like the Carnaval Comparsas, LobsterFest, AIDS Fair Fundraiser, and by members paying monthly dues.2014 San Pedro Lobster Fest-46
