San Pedro Police burn kilos of seized drugs

A large amount of drugs, consisting of marijuana, crack cocaine, cocaine, pills such as Ecstasy, among other illicit drugs, were destroyed by fire by the San Pedro Police formation on Wednesday, November 13th, at a location south of San Pedro Town.

San Pedro Chapter Justices of the Peace discusses the JP Act

An informative session to discuss the Justice of Peace Act was held on Wednesday, October 9th, at the San Pedro High School. The swearing-in of 12 new Justices of the Peace (JP) along with four current JPs sworn-in as Senior Justices of the Peace took Pastor Clive Welsh, President of the San Pedro Association of Justice of the Peace and Commissioner of the Supreme Court by surprise when he was not notified of the event. The official swearing-in was made public when it was posted on the United Democratic Party (UDP) San Pedro Facebook page, showing the Attorney General of Belize, Michael Peyrefitte officiating the event in the company of incumbent Mayor Daniel Guerrero, and Area Representative Honourable Manuel Heredia Jr., on Friday, February 23rd at The San Pedro Town Council’s conference room.
