Boledo returns in December

The last time Belizeans bought Boledo (lottery) was on April 30th after the government revoked the exclusive license held by the Brads Gaming Group Ltd. After months without this form of lottery, the government announced on Thursday, November 2nd that Boledo is set to recommence on December 1, 2023, with the first drawing scheduled for Sunday, December 3rd.

Revocation of the Exclusive License to Administer the Government Lotteries

The Lotteries Committee met on April 20, to review the conditions of the exclusive license held by Brads Gaming Group Ltd. (BGGL) to administer the Government Lotteries. Upon its review, the committee decided to revoke the exclusive license held by BGGL due to material and substantial breaches of the conditions of the exclusive license, and the Lotteries Act and its regulations.

Suspension of All Lotteries including Games of Chance and Government Lotteries

The Ministry of Economic Development, Petroleum, Investment, Trade and Commerce, as the Ministry responsible for Lotteries, informs the public that due to the state of emergency in place in response to COVID-19, all lotteries, including games of chance and Government Lotteries (Boledo, Jackpot and Ordinary), are suspended until further notice.
