Close to 400 students in San Pedro get the Pfizer vaccine against COVID-19

Almost 400 students from secondary and tertiary levels received their first Pfizer vaccine on Saturday, August 28th. Once all students are vaccinated, the government says distance learning could end by October of this year.

San Pedro High School and sixth form students scheduled for Pfizer vaccine

On Saturday, August 28th, the Pfizer vaccine will be available to island students attending high school and sixth form between the ages of 12-17. The vaccines will be administered at the Angel Nuñez Auditorium at the San Pedro High School.

More than 170K Belizeans to benefit from the Pfizer vaccine donated by the United States

Belize now counts with 111,150 doses of the Pfizer vaccine to combat COVID-19. The acquisition of the vaccines came through a donation from the United States Government, which is providing Belize with a total of 345,150 doses. The first tranche was delivered to Belizean authorities on Wednesday, August 18th, after arriving via a FedEx express cargo flight at the Philip Goldson International Airport.
