Hol Chan investigating fish kill on lagoon side of San Pedro

Another mass fish death was observed on the lagoon side of Ambergris Caye, by the San Juan/Boca del Rio area, and Hol Chan is investigating the cause, suspecting Sargassum and possibly high nitrate levels in the water.

Restaurateurs are voicing concerns over the difficulties in obtaining certain fish species that were once bountiful, such as grouper and snapper.
