Belize as a country has a rich and diverse culture, sporting a landscape like no other. From as far north as the banks of the Rio Hondo to as far south as the old Starstoon River; east off the shores of the Caribbean Sea, sporting turquoise waters, a collage of colors that make up the world’s second largest barrier reef and home of a wide variety of some of the world’s most spectacular tropical fishes and sea creatures, to the mystical Mayan mountains that form a part of our untouched rainforest, Belize offers it all. From more advanced shopping capitals, towns and cities, to quaint villages and communities where culture is alive and well; Belize is quite possibly the only place in the world where one can experience all of that within the matter of hours of each other. No matter what one desires, there is something for everyone in our little home country, Belize.

In this week’s issue of The San Pedro Sun Visitor’s Guide, we leave the sea breezes and the sound of the waves lapping against the shores, to travel north to the Orange Walk district.
