Francis Fonseca sworn in as Leader of the Opposition

There has been no official government announcement but The Sun has confirmed that the New Leader of the Opposition was appointed today. Freetown Division Standard Bearer and Leader of the People’s United Party (PUP) Hon Francis Fonseca, was sworn in as the Leader of the Opposition by the Governor General of Belize, His Excellence Sir Colville Young. The ceremony took place at the Belize House of Culture in Belmopan City at 10:00 AM.
Hon. Fonseca became the PUP Party Leader on Saturday last after he was endorsed in a special convention to become the 6th person to lead the 62 year old party.
