Presentation of Funds to Implement Phase II of Sheep and Goat Project

On Tuesday, October 20th, H.E. Remus Li-Kuo Chen, Ambassador of the Republic of China (Taiwan) to Belize, presented a cheque for BZ$744,000 to the Chief Executive Officer in the Ministry of Food and Agriculture, Mr. Edmund Zuniga, for the implementation of the Cooperation in Breeding Sheep and Goat Production and Guidance System Enhancement Project.

Taiwan donates garbage compactor to San Pedro Town and vehicles to San Ignacio/Santa Elena and Punta Gorda Town

On Wednesday, September 16th, the Ambassador of the Republic of China (Taiwan), H.E. Remus Li-Kuo Chen, presented the town of San Pedro with a garbage compactor via a virtual handing over ceremony. The ceremony also included the mayors of San Ignacio and Santa Elena twin towns and Punta Gorda Town, each receiving a Patrol SUV.

Taiwan helps Belize fight Chronic Kidney Disease

One in six Belizeans have some form of chronic kidney disease, and as many as three out five Belizeans are at risk of developing the disease; according to an epidemiological survey done under the $2.2 Million two-year project to prevent and manage Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD).
