Mobile Health Clinic with Cuban doctor brigade returns to San Pedro

Over the past months, mobile health clinics have been held across San Pedro Town, bringing vital services to residents in different subdivisions. The latest health clinic occurred on Saturday, June 17, at central park and included Cuban doctors in attendance. Besides the usual basic health services, the mobile clinic had specialists focusing on specific health issues.

A third mobile health clinic was held in the DFC subdivision on Saturday, May 20th, outside the parking area of the Ambergris Stadium. The services available included the presence of Cuban doctors along with volunteers and other island medical officials. Services offered included baby vaccines, pregnancy testing, flu shots, glucose and pressure testing, and HIV and Malaria testing. Complimentary doctor consultations offered an ear, nose, and throat specialist, an internist, a gynaecologist, and mental services.

SPTC tackling illegal dumping: violators will be prosecuted

The San Pedro Town Council (SPTC) administration is tackling the issue of illegal dumping and warning those involved that they will be penalized for their actions. According to SPTC, inspections are being carried out regularly, and anyone found illegally dumping garbage will face hefty fines and possible criminal charges. Public assistance is also requested in reporting any littering offenses by calling 226-2198 or visiting the SPTC on Barrier Reef Drive with evidence if possible.

Free health clinic in San Pedrito this weekend

The mobile health fair, organized through the collaborative efforts of Area Representative Honourable Andre Perez, San Pedro Town Council, the Ministry of Health and Wellness, and the San Pedro Lions Club, will offer various services. These include complimentary doctor consultations, baby vaccines, pregnancy testing, flu shots, and glucose and pressure testing. Other services also include HIV testing, Malaria testing, and emergency response will be available. The event will also feature a booth providing information on community police.

Mobile health clinic coming to San Mateo Subdivision this weekend

Residents of the subdivision of San Mateo, north of San Pedro Town, will have access to several medical services at no cost on Saturday, February 18th, via a mobile health clinic. The mobile health clinic is made possible through the collaborative efforts of Area Representative Honourable Andre Perez, San Pedro Town Council (SPTC), the Ministry of Health and Wellness, and other organizations. The event will occur from 10AM through 3PM across from Pasadita Store.
