Introducing the Caye Caulker Miss Lobster Fest Contestants

It is lobster festival season, and all is ready for the 21st Annual Caye Caulker Lobster Fest! The original crustacean Festival will be held from Friday, June 26th to Sunday, June 27th. The long waited event kicks off with the Miss Lobster Fest 2015-2016 Pageant. The highlight of the festival, the Miss Lobster Fest pageant will see four lovely young ladies vying for the crown and some fantastic prizes.

Leah Canto, Aricelli Cadle, Shayenn Magana and Alessa Madrill will compete in a talent, costume and question and answer segment. 17-year-old Leah is extremely friendly, loves children and hopes to be a pediatrician one day. She is the oldest and only girl out of four siblings.

16-year-old Aricelli is a recent graduate from St. Catherine’s Academy where she acquired various awards including an honor roll recognition. She has a few modelling experiences under her belt, including the first Belize fashion week which was held in San Pedro.

Sheyenn Magana

Shayenn is 17 years of age and is currently enrolled at the University of Belize. She enjoys reading and singing, and is also a passionate advocate for animals. A third form student at Ocean Academy, 16-year-old Alessa is a PADI certified beauty that has over 35 open water dives and loves drawing underwater scenery. She hopes to open a non-profit institute for youth.

Throughout the pageant, spectators will be entertained by live dance and musical performance. At the end of the pageant, judges will be tasked with selecting the winners for Miss Cooperative, Miss Amity, Miss Popularity, Miss Creativity, Miss Photogenic and next Miss Lobster Fest. Reigning Miss Lobster Fest 2014-2015 Britany Ysaguirre will be present to crown the new champion.
The Caye Caulker Lobster Fest Committee invites everyone to come out for a fun filled weekend. There will be fun activities for the whole family, not to mention, delicious lobster dishes. Activities include: Glow Fete, Color Explosion Beach Party, DJ competition and even a Foam Party.
