Notice to Farmers for Cash Transfer Program

The Ministry of Food and Agriculture informs all farmers who qualify for cash support under the Contingency Emergency Response Component to visit their district agriculture office to collect their relief funds. Farmers are advised to adhere to COVID-19 protocols when doing so.
Farmers eligible for this cash support include:
All female farmers who registered in the Belize Agriculture Information Management System between June 2018 to April 2020
All male farmers cultivating 20 acres of land or less and registered in the Belize Agriculture Information Management System between June 2018 to April 2020
Disbursement process:
• Beneficiaries are required to collect their Heritage Bank ATM debit card in person at the Agriculture Department in their district.
• A valid identification card is required when collecting the ATM debit card.
• To redeem funds, beneficiaries are asked to use the PIN sent to their cell phone number.
The dates of disbursement by the districts are as follows:
October 20th, 2020- Stann Creek and Belize districts
October 21st, 2020- Corozal District
October 22nd, 2020- Orange Walk and Toledo districts
October 23rd, 2020- Cayo District
