BTB offers Hoteliers COVID19 Tax Relief for the month of March
• Hoteliers are being asked to submit their Monthly Accommodation Tax Returns (MATRs) and Guest Registration Forms (GRFs) for March via the BTB Online Portal.
• The BTB will automatically apply 100% tax credit for the total taxes assessed for the month of March, essentially resulting in Nil Accommodation Tax Due.

National State of Emergency declared for Belize; Prime Minister addresses the nation
With a 30-day nationwide state of emergency declared to begin April 1st, Belize's Prime Minister held a press conference detailing financial, health and security plans. PM Barrow also spoke of the possibility of assisting those confined to Ambergris Caye to return to their mainland homes.

The San Pedro Care Center counts with an isolation unit, a flu clinic, a pharmacy and a temporary isolation area. The aim at this facility is to stabilize the patient. If the situation escalates in severity, arrangements will be made to take the patient to Belize City.
