Belize Emergency Response Personnel receive the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) Certified Training in Emergency Care and Treatment (ECAT) in Disasters

Belizean First Responders from the Ministry of Health, Belize Emergency Response Team, Southern Emergency Services, Belize National Fire Service, Belize Police Department, and Department of Transport will participate in PAHO’s skills-based training course to improve their ability in providing emergency medical care and treatment to patients on the scene of an accident or emergency.

Changes in Prices of Fuel Products

The prices for Premium Gasoline and Diesel will register increases while Regular Gasoline will register a decrease as follows: Premium Gasoline will increase by 38 cents from $10.59 to $10.97 per gallon; Regular Gasoline will decrease by 22 cents from $10.27 to $10.05 per gallon; and Diesel will increase by 8 cents from $10.01 to $10.09 per gallon. The price for Kerosene will remain unchanged at $7.42 per gallon.

Minister Tracy Taegar-Panton of the Ministry Investment, Trade and Commerce and Minister Godwin Hulse of the Ministry of Agriculture along with the CARICOM Secretariat hosted sugar stakeholders from across the Caribbean Community at the Best Western Plus Biltmore Plaza in Belize City yesterday, October 2nd, 2019. The engagement placed regional policymakers from the sugar industry, manufacturers and government in dialogue on the Future of the Caribbean Sugar Industry.
