Miss San Pedro 2009-10 is Raquel Badillo

Raquel Badillo, representing Ramon’s Village, this past Saturday, won the hearts and votes of the judges and was named Miss San Pedro 2009-10. Six lovely contestants vied for the title but only one will be officially crowned as part of the St. George’s Caye Day ceremenies this Thursday at Central Park.

On Saturday, Yasmin Torres, Crysty Baptist, Raquel Badillo, Yanira Torres, Virgen Cornejo and Yamily Vasquez took part in the four aspects of the Miss San Pedro beauty pageant.

Highlighting Belize’s flora and fauna, a fantastic tribute was clearly displayed as part of the costumes. Miss Yasmira Torres depicted the Toucan.Miss Crysty Baptist depicted the Blue Morpho Butterfly.
Miss Raquel Badillo showcased the Hibiscus.
While Yanira Torres was the Jaguar.
Miss Yamily Vasquez stood out as the Black Orchid.The ladies also took part in the Swimsuit, Evening Gown, and the Question and Answer segments.

At the end of the night thunderous applause rang out for Miss Raquel Badillo.
