Friday, December 11th, 2015
On Monday, November 30th at around 11PM, San Pedro Police visited the Dr. Otto Rodriguez San Pedro Polyclinic II where they observed 35-year-old Abigail Lopez suffering from several cut wounds. When questioned by the police, Lopez reported that she had been attacked while sitting on a dock in the Boca del Rio Area. As a result, she sustained cut wounds to the right side of the face, neck and chest.
Initial investigations revealed that while sitting on the dock earlier that night, Lopez was approached by a Hispanic male who came to sit beside her. The man proceeded to fondle her, requesting sexual intercourse. Lopez refused the advance, resulting in the man to allegedly become violent. According to Lopez he grabbed her by the hair, held her down and stabbed her with a pint bottle he had broken. The man then escaped the scene. After the attack, Lopez went to the Polyclinic to seek medical attention, where her injuries were classified as Grievous Harm.
Since then police have detained 24-year-old William Javier Rivero from San Mateo Area pending charges for the incident.
