On Wednesday, 12th February 2020, the Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) hosted the kick-off meeting to officially launch the design phase of three health facilities in Belize. PAHO project coordinators, engineers, check consultant, with the Ministry of Health officials, and the contracted design company met to discuss timelines, scope of works and project design standards.

Coronavirus continues to spread; Belize issues travel ban for China
On Saturday, February 8th, the government of Belize via a press release issued a travel ban for travelers that have recently visited China. Specifically, all travelers who have been in China within 14 days before arrival in Belize will be denied entry.
