Hope Haven hosts forum on Domestic Violence
On Friday, July 9th, Hope Haven Domestic Violence Outreach Center, an upcoming facility under Raise me Up, held its first forum on Domestic Violence in San Pedro Town. The workshop also discussed domestic violence legislation and collaborated with the Youth Enhancement Services (YES).

Colleen’s Kitchen at San Pedro Food Bank distributes recycled bags
Every day, Colleen’s Kitchen at the San Pedro Food Bank at Hope Haven provides meals to underprivileged children and adults. This program is made possible thanks to local restaurateurs who keep the initiative alive. To further engage the local community and even visitors in contributing to the worthy cause, recycled cotton bags are being distributed at different convenience stores. In exchange, patrons (visitors) are asked to kindly donate any grocery items upon departure that can be used by the food bank at Hope Haven, San Pedro’s Children’s Home and Community outreach Center located on Lion Street, across from the Maya Island Air.

Annual Adopt a Bear to bring joy to island children for the fifth year
For the fifth consecutive year, the ‘Adopt a Bear’ initiative is back on the island for the Christmas season. The project, sponsored by the Raise Me Up Foundation, gives individuals in the community the opportunity to gift a Christmas present to one child whose parents are not able to do so during the holidays.

The 2018 San Pedro Holiday Lighted Boat Parade saw 12 participants lighting up the sea on Ambergris Caye. Taking the top prize was Ramon's Village boat themed 'Belize Navidad'

4th Annual Adopt a Bear returns to Ambergris Caye
For the past four years, to make Christmas a memorable experience for less fortunate island children, the “Adopt a Bear” program has been launched during the Christmas Holidays.

2nd Annual Raise Me Up Masquerade Party a success!
Island residents brought the glam at Raise Me Up 2nd Annual Masquerade Party on May 19th, raising funds through silent auctions, casino games and more to benefit Hope Haven, The SHINE Center, Raise Me Up, The Literacy Program, San Pedro Kids Club, Colleen’s Kitchen at San Pedro Food Bank and ACES.

Adopt a Bear once again brings Christmas happiness to children of Ambergris Caye
Thanks to the Adopt a Bear project sponsored by Raise Me Up, over 200 children on Ambergris Caye who wouldn’t otherwise receive a Christmas present, received one on Wednesday, December 20th.
