From game one, the 2013 series seemed to be a smooth ride for team Tuff E Nuff. They were eager to defend their 2012 championship title, and ready for back to back wins.
Tuff E Nuff team coach Rico Black, mentioned he did warn the team of the challenge they would face this season, as he did recruit a much younger team who would be facing league veterans. However the veterans seemed to pose no threat to the youngsters who took the season by storm. Tuff E Nuff played a total of 13 games, winning all 6 regular games, 4 playoffs and the final 3 that led to victory.

“I was a bit nervous going into this season. We have never been in a season where we haven’t lost a game or two,” said Rico Black. He mentioned that much of his team’s victory can be attributed to the fact that they observed their opponents’ game strategies and took advantage of the loopholes in their defense. This strategy along with relentless team dedication led them straight to their 91-80 victory over Oceana, sweeping the finals and landing the trophy.
