Beautiful Solani Graniel has returned from competing in her first international pageant, “Miss Caribbean International Roots Pageant”, in Colombia, South America. From June 21st to June 26th, her schedule was hectic as she worked on her tactics for the grand finale of the pageant.
Graniel shared her excitement and experience with The San Pedro Sun, detailing how well-received the contestants were from their arrival to the grand finale. While Graniel did not come back with the crown, she is thrilled to have experienced this pageant.
The pageant took place on Sunday, June 26th, and walking away with the title of Miss Caribbean International was the host town, Providencia, Colombia’s contestant. Although Graniel did not win the grand title, she took second place in best fantasy dress. She feels honored to have represented Belize, specifically San Pedro.
“My experience was amazing, the people, the view, the food, every single moment was breathe taking. The most exciting thing was meeting the girls and making new friendships that will last forever. I do plan to continue in my pageant life, and plan to share my culture, as well as my traditions, more,” said Graniel. She is especially glad to have visited a home for disabled children, where she experienced much joy with the innocent little ones.
Graniel acknowledges Gach Guerrero, Marisa Salazar, Velie Williams, her mother, aunts, the rest of her family and friends for assisting her at every step.
