Living Word Church lightens Christmas with their annual toy outreach
Hundreds of children accompanied by their parents received their Christmas presents on Friday, December 23rd, during the annual toy drive held by the Living Word Church (LWC). The anticipated event occurred at the Angel Nuñez Auditorium, where every child walked out smiling with their new toys and treated to snacks and refreshments.

The annual Living Word Church Toy Drive will see the gifting of 150 hefty food baskets, 500 small toys during Christmas Caroling on Thursday, December 22nd, and 1,200 quality toys during the Toy Outreach on December 23rd.

The spirit of Christmas continues in San Pedro Town, Ambergris Caye. The usual activities that see the underprivileged getting goodie bags and presents were not interrupted this year despite the current crisis caused by COVID-19. On Friday, December 18th, Customs and Excise, and the Living Word Church reached out to families and children with toys, fruits, refreshments, and bags full of groceries.

The recent COVID-19 pandemic has not been an easy thing for the San Pedro community to weather. In the noise of it all, many families have found themselves worrying about how to get food on their table and how they will survive through this sudden change in the system. ECI Development and Caye International Bank have partnered with Pastor Ian Zalidvar and the Living Word Church in San Pedro to help lead the way in bringing food relief to the people of Ambergris Caye.

On Monday, December 23rd, 2019, Living Word Church (LWC) held its 9th Annual Christmas Family Outreach Event at the Honorable Louis Sylvestre Sporting Complex in San Pedro. With generous donations from many sponsors, 1,500 toys were purchased for the event.

Once again, Living Word Church’s (LWC) annual toy distribution event promises to be a huge success and reach more children than ever before. Attorney Joel Nagel, who is a long-time Belizean citizen and the chairman of the board of LWC, challenged several companies to raise $BZ35,000.
